2026 Statement of Assessment – Now Available

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR), State and Local Finance Division posted the 2026 Statement of Assessment (SOA) on our website.

Form Information

  • Due date – June 8, 2026, or after your Board of Review (BOR)
  • You do not have to inform us if your BOR is held after June 8, 2026
  • E-file Form PA-521C – through MyDORGov or by file transfer (details below)

Filing Methods

  • MyDORGov
    • Accessing the form
      • Click MyDORGov login on our Governments web page
      • Complete email authorization – enter your email address and click the provided link sent via email
      • Form PA-521C – SOA should be listed on the "form filing" page; if not, follow "review your access" steps below
    • Review your access
      • On the MyDORGov home page, select "user information"
      • If you are the municipal clerk – verify your office is listed on the left under "Your Office Summary" panel
      • If it is not listed – select "Request Office" to submit an officeholder request to DOR
      • Review any additional offices and/or accesses and make updates where necessary
  • File transfer

    Click "Ready to Transfer" (under SOA File Transmission) on the Government E-Services File Transfer web page

    • Text file layout – must follow current alignment specifications and format  
    • Use correct district codes – DOR cannot process files with incorrect district codes
    • Include – assessor name and accurate phone number
    • Do not include – manufacturing values in your file
    • Confirmation – receipt number is confirmation your file was sent to DOR; if we are unable to process your SOA, we will contact you

Why is accurate and timely filing important?

  • DOR uses SOA values to certify school district, technical college and special district equalized values; this process begins September 1
  • If we do not receive a completed SOA by September 1, we will estimate assessment data based on prior year SOA values
