Specification for Alignment of School and Special District Codes

6 Digit School Code (Regular and Union High)
Left Justified – First 2 digits are the county code for the school district, the next 4 digits are the school code.

Examples:
School District of Alma may by coded on the assessment roll as 0084, but on the electronic file it will be 060084.

School District of Webster may be coded on the assessment roll as 6293, but on the electronic file it will be 076293.

6 Digit Technical College Code
Left Justified – First 2 digits are zero filled, enter the technical college code in positions 3 and 4, the last 2 positions are zero filled.

Example:
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College - GNBY may be coded as 13 on the assessment roll, but on the electronic file it will be 001300. Milwaukee Area Technical College - MILW would be 000900.

6 Digit Special District Code
First 2 positions are the county code. The next 4 positions are the four-digit state special district code.

Examples:
Milwaukee Metro Sewer District created in Milwaukee County (40) may be coded on the assessment roll as 5020 or 502, but the electronic file would be 405020.

Chili Sanitary District #1 in created Clark County (10) may be coded on the assessment roll as 7020 or 702, but the electronic file would be 107020.
