Disregard this message if you do not have a Tax Incremental District (TID) in your municipality or if you already paid this fee.
The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR), State and Local Finance Division would like to remind municipal officials of an upcoming TID deadline.
TID administrative fee

$150 fee – due annually for each active TID

Due date – April 15, 2026
- Go to
My Tax Account and pay your fee in the TIF account
- When the administrative fee is:

Paid – TID remains active, and DOR calculates the increment for 2026 taxes

Unpaid
– TID is considered terminated, and DOR does not calculate the increment for 2026 taxes

Terminating a TID
- If your municipality adopts a TID termination resolution by April 15, 2026, it does
not owe an administrative fee for that TID
- Email these documents to tif@wisconsin.gov by
April 15, 2026:
- Adopted municipal termination resolution
- Completed
PE-223 Form
- DOR adjusts the total fee your municipality owes after we receive your documents
