TeleFile allows Wisconsin employers to file and pay their
Withholding Tax Deposit Reports (Form WT-6) and
Employer's Annual Reconciliation of Wisconsin Income Tax Withheld from Wages (Form WT-7) using a touch-tone phone. You can enter your tax information in about 10 minutes or less. TeleFile is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week except on Sundays from 5:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. when regular system maintenance occurs.

How do I pay the tax due?
- Direct Debit. TeleFile allows you to pay a balance due by direct withdrawal from your checking or savings account during the call. To use direct debit, be sure to have your bank's 9-digit routing number and bank account number available.

- Paper check or money order. Write your 15-digit account number on the bottom left of the check or money order. Mail the payment without any other paperwork to:

Can someone else TeleFile for me?
If you are unable to use a touch-tone phone, you may have someone else assist you in the making the telephone call or have your tax preparer TeleFile your report or return.

Do I need to send paper copies of the return when I TeleFile?
No. As long as you complete the call and receive a confirmation number at the end, TeleFile satisfies your filing requirements for a report or return. If you don't pay the balance due during the call, remember to mail a paper check or money order to the address in
FAQ #2.

Do I need a receipt when I TeleFile?
When you TeleFile, you will be given a confirmation number. This confirmation number is verification of filing electronically. Be sure to keep a record of this number.
If you do not receive a confirmation number during your call, TeleFile has not sent your report or return. You must call again and file your report or return. If TeleFile does not allow you to file again, contact the department at (608) 266-2776.

What if I make a mistake when I am using TeleFile?
If you realize the mistake before you receive your confirmation number, hang up, redial, and begin again.
Form WT-7 - If you already received your confirmation number after filing Form WT-7, you must file a
Form WT-7 paper return to amend your TeleFile return. Check the box on the top of page one to indicate the return is amended. Follow the instructions on page 2 of
Form W-117, "Preparing the Employer's Annual Reconciliation of Wisconsin Income Tax Withheld From Wages (WT‑7)."
