The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR), State and Local Finance Division posted the 2026 Expenditure Restraint Incentive Program (ERIP) Worksheet (Form SL-203) on our
website.
Is your municipality eligible to e-file 2026 ERIP?
- Your municipal-only 2025 property tax rate must exceed five mills
- Only eligible municipalities can access the worksheet
Filing Information
- E-file Form SL-203 through

Due date – May 1, 2026

Important – if your municipality does not file by the May 1, 2026, due date, it is not eligible to receive a 2027 ERIP payment

Amended budgets – if your municipality amends its budget, it must e-file the following by these deadlines:
- May 1, 2026 – ERIP Worksheet with current budget information
- July 1, 2026 – amended ERIP Worksheet with amended budget information
New in 2026 – Line 12 created under 2025 Wisconsin Act 36

Line 12 – subtract general fund expenditures for amounts levied under sec. 66.0602 (3)(h), Wis. Stats.

Important – this line only applies to municipalities that reported an adjustment in Sec. D, Line I of the Levy Limit Worksheet for an increase in assessed charges by a joint fire department or joint EMS district
