The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR), State and Local Finance Division posted the 2025-2026 School Levy Tax Credit (full disclosure) Notices to our website today, November 20, 2025. This information is used for the December 2025 property tax bills.

Notices include:

• School levy tax credit amount your municipality (or county) will receive in May and July 2026
• 2026 estimated major state aids

2025-2026 School Levy Tax Credit Distribution

• 2023 WI Act 19 – created sec. 79.10(7m)(a)(1.a.) and (1.b.), Wis. Stats.
• DOR will distribute $1.275 billion in payments in 2026 for the 2025 property tax levies
• $335 million – first Monday in May 2026
• $940 million – fourth Monday in July 2026
