The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) has received many questions from local governments related to 2020 property assessments and property taxes. We developed a set of questions and answers based upon current state law. Note: In light of the difficulties that will be presented during this calendar year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are looking into ways to provide greater flexibility to local governments – even identifying changes that require legislative action. We are working towards compiling this list and look forward to having a conversation with you about ideas you may have on this topic.
