Coming March 2026: Assessors can manage your contact information and municipalities all in one place – MyDORGov!

February 16, 2026

To: Assessors, Municipal Clerks

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR), State and Local Finance Division, is announcing two new automated processes for assessors coming to MyDORGov in March 2026.

Assessors

The below processes are automated within MyDORGov. You will no longer have to call or email DOR to get access to your municipalities.

  • Update your contact information – using the new Assessor Contact Information Form (Form ACD-100) – for:
    • Municipalities
    • Assessor certification
    • SLF Cornerstone (e-Learning) account
  • Manage your municipalities – in your MyDORGov user profile:
    • Request access as the Assessment Staff Administrator for new municipalities you are assessing
    • Remove access for any municipality you are no longer assessing
    • Monitor and edit access for your assessment staff
  • Important – this new automated process within MyDORGov, will replace the current system login used to manage staff (WAMSID), in March 2026

Municipal Clerks

How will this change impact municipal clerks?
Clerks grant access to the "office" of assessor when a new assessor is hired or contracted.
  • The new assessor will request access as Assessment Staff Administrator
  • The clerk will receive an email to grant/deny access using their MyDORGov account
  • Once access is granted, the assessor will be able to file the Municipal Assessment Report and provide assessment data. They will also be listed as the assessor on the Wisconsin Municipal Assessors list.

Is there training available?

  • In the upcoming weeks, DOR will provide:
    • Detailed step-by-step guidance on how to access and use the new form and process
    • Short instructional videos for quick answers to common issues
  • DOR will also be hosting a webinar on March 10, 2026 where we'll do a live walk-through of the new process and provide an opportunity to ask questions.

Watch for additional communications about the new process and webinar details in the coming weeks!
