​The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) distributes payments to Wisconsin counties annually on the first Monday in May and the fourth Monday in July. DOR can also make payments directly to a municipality if it qualifies for one of the exceptions and follows the requirements under state law (sec. 79.10, Wis. Stats.).
