Household Pulse Survey

The visualizations on this page were constructed using the Household Pulse Survey (HPS), a new experimental survey conducted by the US Census Bureau. The Division of Research and Policy has published so far two Tableau visualizations of the HPS data, for Phase I and Phases II-III.

The HPS is a 20-minute online survey studying how the coronavirus pandemic is impacting households across the country from a social and economic perspective.

The visualizations allow for the quick comparison of survey responses by state and sociodemographic groups, including: race, ethnicity (Hispanic vs. non-Hispanic), marital status, and household income.
