CDE - File Transmission Common Questions
No. A PIN, password, or pre-registration is not required. An email address for the submitter is required.
The file is posted via HTTPS to a web server, and the data is protected with SSL 128-bit encryption. This is the same standard used for Internet financial transactions.
You will see "OK Transfer Complete" along with a confirmation number and time stamp showing when the file was received. Print a copy of this screen for your records. Confirmation is not sent by email.
