DOR to Offer New Self-Service Portal for Business Tax

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) plans to release a new self-service portal on its website in February, 2009. This product, Taxpayer Access Point (TAP), will allow business taxpayers and tax practitioners to perform a variety of functions online, including: registering for certain tax types and payment methods, filing tax returns, making payments, checking on the status of refunds, maintaining account information, and viewing or printing account histories.

TAP will streamline many business tax processes and allow DOR to better serve business taxpayers and tax practitioners. This product will eventually replace the Sales Internet Process (SIP) for electronic filing of Sales and Use Tax returns. Additional details will be available soon.
