On February 13, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue started soliciting comments for the economic impact of a proposed administrative rule, which would amend Chapter Tax 12 relating to assessor certification and training. The proposed updates modernize the language and process to agree with state law, technology, and other practical considerations.

Comments regarding the economic effect of the proposed rule on specific businesses, business sectors, public utility ratepayers, local governmental units, and Wisconsin's economy as a whole, will be taken into consideration while preparing the Economic Impact Analysis (EIA) required by state law (sec. 227.137, Wis. Stats.).
