Electronic Mailing Lists

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) has several electronic mailing lists available to the public. The goal is to provide communications from DOR to list members on information and news specific to the respective list they have signed up for.

Common list features:

All lists are moderated, which means any e-mail addressed to the list go through the list owner first. If appropriate, they will forward onto the rest of the list members.
The lists below are not a "chat room" or typical "bulletin board" site.
After you enter your e-mail address and click on the "subscribe" button below, an e-mail with be generated to confirm your subscription.

Available Lists

Assessors – of particular value to Town, Village & City Assessors. E-mails will provide assessor news and information such as form submittal reminders, new legislation, current reports, internet forms, local training and internet publications.

Department of Revenue Jobs – will provide communication regarding current employment opportunities.

Manufacturers – will provide communication of interest to manufacturers.

Sales & Use Tax – will provide you with current sales & use tax news and reminders.

Tax Practitioner – will provide tax news and information, including electronic filing mailings, publications, and announcements of approved software and Electronic Return Originators.

TID/TIF – of particular value to Town, Village & City Clerks, assessors, planning departments, mayors & presidents, and consultants. E-mails will be providing periodic Tax Increment Financing District (TID) information such as new legislation, current reports, internet forms, local training and internet publications.

Utility Tax – of interest to Ad Valorem and Gross Receipt companies doing business in Wisconsin. E-mails will provide updates and communications for Air Carrier, Railroad, Pipeline, Conservation/Regulation, Association of Municipal Electrics, Telecommunications, Carlines, Light Heat & Power Companies, and Rural Electric Cooperatives.

Wisconsin and U.S. Quarterly Economic Outlook – provides quarterly and annual forecasts of income and employment; provides details of U.S. consumption, housing, business investment, international trade and inflation; provides WI General Purpose Revenue tax collections; provides special reports.
