Yes, you can. To claim an exemption from withholding you must:
- Submit a 2008 prepayment voucher, Wisconsin Form A-115, and full payment of your 2008 Wisconsin estimated tax liability by December 31, 2007. Please mail it to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, Exceptions Resolution Unit, Mail Stop 3-138, P.O. Box 8903, Madison, WI 53708-8903.
- Check the box on the prepayment voucher to request a Certificate of Exemption from Withholding for Prepayment of Estimated Tax, Form W-200. Authorized persons in the Wisconsin Department of Revenue will sign the Form W-200. You will receive two copies of the signed Form W-200. You must give one copy of the signed Form W-200 to your employer. The other copy is for your records.
- Submit a 2008 prepayment voucher, Wisconsin Form A-115, and full payment of your 2008 Wisconsin estimated tax liability by December 31, 2007. Please mail it to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, Exceptions Resolution Unit, Mail Stop 3-138, P.O. Box 8903, Madison, WI 53708-8903.
