If you are a software developer looking for WT-7 e-File transfer specifications, then continue reading below.

Wisconsin employers and/or their representatives will be able to transmit the Employers Annual Reconciliation data in an electronic file over the Internet. This is a process intended for participants who have technical expertise to create and validate an XML document or are using software that provides that service for you. The Employer Annual Reconciliation File Transmission is:

a secure process for receiving formatted electronic transmissions of Employers Annual Reconciliation data
in XML language using a Department of Revenue web server
offering a web GUI and scripted transmission methods
allowing one or more returns per XML file
allowing zipped transmissions
not using SOAP or MIME enveloping processes
Two transmission options:
1. HTML based over SSL using 128 bit encryption
2. secure FTP
sending acknowledgements within one business day
available using the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) debit and credit payment process
incorporating work done by the IRS and the Federation of Tax Administrators standards group (FSET)
