Employee Wage Attachment File Transmission
The Wisconsin Department of Revenue is pleased to offer employers the option of paying wage attachment monies via this secure Internet process. Employers, and/or their representatives, who have been ordered to withhold monies from employee’s wages to satisfy delinquent tax debts are now required to transmit payment data in an electronic file over the Internet.
This file will allow employers to send an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for the full amount of payment along with the information necessary to identify the amount to be credited for each individual employee.
The Wage Attachment File Transmission is:
- a secure process for receiving payment and information of wage attachment payments
- in XML language using a Department of Revenue web server
- offers a web GUI and scripted transmission method
- allows one payment for multiple employees per XML file
Links below provide information about this new process. To correctly view the schema and sample instance document you will need to use Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. The spreadsheet below is in Excel.
