 Specification for Alignment of School and Special Codes

11 Digit School Code (Regular and Union High)
Left Justified – 4 digit school code in the first 4 fields, the rest zero filled.

Examples:
School District of Alma may by coded on the assessment roll as 0084, but on the electronic file it will be 00840000000.

School District of Webster may be coded on the assessment roll as 6293, but on the electronic file it will be 62930000000.

11 Digit Technical College Code
Left Justified – 2-digit technical college code in the first 2 fields, the rest zero filled.

Example:
Technical College of Chippewa Valley may be coded as 01 on the assessment roll, but on the electronic file it will be 01000000000.

8 Digit Special District Code
Leading zeroes in the first 2 fields. County code in the next 2 fields. The four-digit state special district code in the last 4 fields.

Examples:
Milwaukee Metro Sewer District created in Milwaukee County (40) may be coded on the assessment roll as 5020 or 502, but the electronic file would be 00405020.

Chili Sanitary District #1 in created Clark County (10) may be coded on the assessment roll as 7020 or 702, but the electronic file would be 00107020.

Note: Manufacturing Values are provided by the state. Please zero fill Field Numbers 20 through 25.
