 Electronic Funds Transfer - General Information

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) offers and accepts electronic funds transfer (EFT) as a method for paying certain taxes. Electronic funds transfer is a safe and efficient process for making tax payments. All transactions are governed by strict, nationally established security procedures and occur between financial institutions only at your request.

How to Register for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

DOR offers taxpayers two EFT programs:

1. Business & Estimated Income Taxes 2. Delinquent Taxes
  • Estimated payments for income and payment of business tax
  • Taxpayer registers with DOR
  • Taxpayer initiates the payment

  • Already registered? Go to the EFT Registration and Payment System.
  • Monthly installment payments on delinquent tax balance
  • EFT authorization submitted to DOR by taxpayer
  • DOR initiates the payment
  • Option of one withdrawal for entire balance
