Electronic Funds Transfer - Delinquent Taxes

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) offers and accepts electronic funds transfer (EFT) as a method of making monthly installment payments on delinquent tax accounts. A separate EFT program provides a method for paying business and estimated income taxes.

Once DOR has approved your monthly installment agreement, you can choose to have the monthly payment automatically withdrawn from your bank account and credited to your delinquent tax balance. In some situations the department will require that your installment agreement payments be made through EFT. To use EFT, an authorization form must be completed first. The withdrawal can be scheduled for either the 5th, 15th, or 25th day of the month. You also have the option of a one-time withdrawal for the entire balance on your account.

The forms can be downloaded to request an installment agreement for delinquent tax (Form A-771) and to authorize EFT (Form A-771a). Mail completed forms to the Central Collection Section, Wisconsin Department of Revenue, P.O. Box 8901, Madison, WI 53708-8901.

If you would like a copy of the installment agreement request form and EFT authorization form mailed to you, you can e-mail the Department. Alternatively, you can send your request to the Central Collection Section, Wisconsin Department of Revenue, P.O. Box 8901, Madison, WI, 53708-8901 or call (608) 266-7879.
