The annual equalized va lue of each municipality represents the Department of Revenue estimate of market value* of all taxable property. A single county can contain a dozen or more municipalities (towns, villages, and cities). Property tax levies of such jurisdictions are apportioned to each municipality on the basis of equalized value.
The following reports list each municipality's total equalized values for real estate, personal property, & all property and the percent each municipality represents of the county total. This equalized value has been reduced by the tax value increment for applicable municipalities. Each tax increment district base & current value & increment are also listed on the county report.
